The Kenan and Kel Archive is a lovingly assembled collection of a genuinely funny, wholesome, and influential ’90s sitcom. It hasn’t aged perfectly—the laugh track and low-budget look are very much of their time—but the core comedic partnership remains brilliant. If you already love orange soda and Kel’s high-pitched “I put the screw in the tuna,” this archive is a must-own. If you’re new to the show, start with Season 1—you’ll know within two episodes if it’s for you.

All That , The Amanda Show , Drake & Josh , Good Burger (the movie).

For anyone who grew up in the ’90s, this archive is a time capsule: the clothes, the slang, the Saved by the Bell –esque school sets, and the classic theme song (“Aw, here it goes!” by Coolio).

By season 3–4, you’ll notice patterns: Kenan lies to his dad (played by the great Ken Foree), Kenan and Kel hide something in the locker, Kenan tries to get a girl’s attention. Still funny, but less surprising.

Some jokes rely on Kenan screaming at Kel or mild physical abuse (pushing, slapping). It’s cartoonish, but modern viewers might find it a bit much.

Here’s a full review of (often referring to the DVD or streaming collection of the hit ’90s Nickelodeon sitcom Kenan & Kel ). Overview Kenan & Kel originally aired from 1996 to 2000 as a spin-off from All That . The show follows two high-school friends in Chicago: the always-hungry, orange soda–loving Kel Kimble (Kel Mitchell) and the ambitious, often-frustrated schemer Kenan Rockmore (Kenan Thompson). The “archive” typically includes all four seasons (62 episodes), plus bonus features like the All That sketches that introduced the characters, behind-the-scenes content, and sometimes the TV movie Two Heads Are Better Than None . What’s Great 1. Timeless Comedy Chemistry Kenan and Kel’s dynamic is the heart of the show. Kenan’s over-the-top exasperation paired with Kel’s blissful obliviousness (“Who loves orange soda? K-K-Kel loves orange soda!”) creates slapstick and verbal humor that still lands today.
