Code — My Total Tv
Another digit, another room: 2006. My brother and I arguing over the Xbox. The screen bleeds green from a Halo 2 pause menu.
But I know better.
I type the last zero.
The TV clicks off.
Here’s a short piece inspired by the phrase — written as a poetic micro-fiction / system log. Title: My Total TV Code my total tv code
The code wasn’t for the TV. It was for me . A total recall. A master key to every room I ever sat in, staring at light in a box, trying to feel less alone.
When I type it in — slow, deliberate, like dialing a childhood phone number — the screen doesn’t change channels. It changes rooms. Another digit, another room: 2006
I found it scrawled on the back of a takeout menu, under a magnet shaped like Florida.
